The Grey Conservation and Community Association is made up of community representatives, elected at an AGM each year. They represent the association members in matters relating to the ongoing preservation of the shacks, and the site.
Community Code of Conduct
The settlement is a family recreation area where children play freely outdoors, on the beach and around the shacks. Please follow these guiidelines to keep our community safe for everyone.
Drive safe
Speeding or dangerous driving is not tolerated. Stay on the formed tracks. Normal road rules apply.
Be considerate
Please keep noise to a minimum and ensure your activities don’t spoil the enjoyment of others.
Be wise
Leave the area as you find it. Removal of any plants, animals or other parts of the natural environment is an offence.
Be aware
Keep dogs under control. We all love our animals, but please make sure they are under control both on the beach and around the shacks. Be aware that fox baits have been laid outside the settlement, which can kill domestic animals also.
Be cool
Total fire bans may occur, especially in summer. No ground fires are allowed, on the beach or otherwise.
